About UsOverview

What is Symbiotic Engineering?

Symbiotic refers to mutually beneficial relationships that we believe can be created both between our company and our clients and between the goals of our clients and the environment. Our areas of expertise include greenhouse gas and sustainability management and providing the quantification metrics and tools to evaluate “green” developments, projects and products. We utilize tools such as life-cycle assessment, life-cycle costing and material flows analyses to identify systemic approaches for reducing the environmental impacts.

Mission:

At Symbiotic Engineering, we are Defining Green using a participatory approach with our clients. We work toward sustainability solutions for our clients, without forgetting to maintain our personal sustainability - and that means bringing fun to our work each day.

Vision:

We believe that Defining Green is an iterative process with the client. After quantifying environmental and economic impacts, Symbiotic Engineering seeks innovative solutions that work within critical social considerations. We define "green" as those processes and products that are in equilibrium with the carrying capacity of our environment.

How we Define Green? :

SE is a founding reporter in The Climate Registry and was one of the first 19 out of over 300 registry members to have its greenhouse gas inventory successfully verified. SE is also an Organizational Stakeholder for the Global Reporting Initiative, we purchase carbon offsets from the Colorado Carbon Fund to offset all GHG emissions from office energy use and business travel plus an additional 10% in an attempt to be carbon negative, and supply all employees with Eco-Passes for mass transit.
